Welcome to the Murwillumbah Hari-katha Festival 2005
Camping:
We are holding this year’s festival at the same venue as last year
(Murwillumbah Showgrounds), and there will be
ample camping facilities available free of charge on-site at the
showgrounds for those devotees who bring camping gear with them. Showers
and toilet facilities are available a short walk from the camping area.
Paid:
For those devotees who prefer motel, or caravan park accommodation, the
following list may be of assistance.
Best ring to book the lodgings of your choice as early as possible.
Please be aware that this is the Qld Labour Day long weekend so please
book early and prices will go up for the actual weekend on the 30th
April and May 1st and 2nd. To add to this there is a Vintage Car
restorers rally on in Murwillumbah on the 1st and 2nd May.
Discounts may be available for larger groups so don’t hesitate to
enquire.
Other, more upmarket accommodation is available for the discerning
visitor.
There is also backpacker style accommodation but despite its budget
prices, this accommodation presents limitations for devotees. For

NB. This establishment has only four rooms available for the entire
weekend as they are heavily booked for the Saturday night. One of these

cost $100 per night if fully utilised.

Unfortunately, this motel is booked out on Wednesday 27th April. Rooms
are available for all other days of the festival.
No highway noise but still within close cooee of Byangum Road.
