Srila Prabhupada likes
kachoris so Jamuna thought that she As Jamuna watched, Srila Prabhupada ate them all and said, “Are there any more?” Jamuna replied, “I could make some more”, and hurried downstairs to the kitchen. As there was leftover dough and filling she quickly made some and cooked them and went upstairs again. Srila Prabhupada ate them and said, “Are there any more?” She made some more and brought them to Srila Prabhupada. This continued several times until all the devotees had gone to bed and it was about 11 o’clock at night.
Srila Prabhupada smiled
broadly and said, “More than you can cook.” Srila Prabhupada & the Pillar Srila Prabhupada arrived at the London Temple in Bury Place in 1973 to give us his association for a few days. We crowded into the Temple room and sat down on the floor to hear him speak. It was so crowded that we were all up against each other and couldn’t move. One devotee told me later that he was sitting behind a pillar and Srila Prabhupada wasn’t visible to him. As he strained to see around the pillar, Srila Prabhupada said, “One does not see Guru with his eyes but with his ears.” Even in a Piece of Marble After a lecture by Srila Prabhupada in Melbourne in 1975-6, Swayambhur said, “Srila Prabhupada my God-brother says that you can see God. Is this true?” Srila Prabhupada replied, “You cannot see God? Why are you so blind?” Pointing to the Deities “There is Krsna, can’t you see Him?” Swayambhu said “Yes I can see the Deities but I mean can you see Krishna in say, a piece of marble?” Srila Prabhupada’s bookstand had a piece of marble on top so Srila Prabhupada lifted up one side of the open book and looked intensely at the marble for a few seconds. Then he looked at Swayambhu and said, “Yes! Krsna is there.”
